I know her

20 years ago on August 2nd 1996, Lynn Zhanae' McGrier was born. Growing up with 5 other siblings of girls, living in the projects the struggle was real. Out of all the girls, Lynn was the shy one. She never talked to anyone because she thought that no one was on her level of thinking. In middle school she began to hang around the wrong crowd and easily influenced to skip school. This behavior carried over to high school. With the knowledge of her mother finding out that this behavior was going on, she took action to moving her to South Carolina which was a tremendous move for Lynn.

Moving to South Carolina her 10th grade year converting school systems it was something totally different for her. She saw how other wanted to learn and make good grades, so she started doing the same. She began being active in school activities such as the book club and ran the 100, 200 meters and the 4x1 on the track team that actually made it to state. With her being confident, and loving to talk and on track, she decided to apply to South Carolina State to be a news anchor. A goal that she wishes to accomplish is to be apart of Good Morning America.

Finding out what it took to run at a collegiate level and all the hard work that comes with it, she gave up on track and found other hobby's. She joined fashion groups on campus, participating in shows.  Spring semester of 2016 Lynn joined the AKA sorority. Out of all her siblings, she has reached furthest in education, currently a Junior. Her drive and motivation is for her grandmother.
